Respect Life Apostolate
The pro-life apostolate of St. Peter Church works closely with the Respect Life Apostolate, the pro-life office of the Archdiocese of Omaha, to promote the gospel of life.
Members of the pro-life apostolate assist in raising funds for local crisis pregnancy centers, pray for an end to abortion at home and at local abortion mills, offer sidewalk counseling, write political leaders, participate in the annual Life Chain and Pro-Life Vigil Mass and Procession, and provide pro-life information to the parish.
The calling to be actively pro-life is not an option. As Blessed John Paul II said, "Above all, the common outcry, which is justly made on behalf of human rights - for example, the right to health, to home, to work, to family, to culture - is false and illusory if the right to life and the condition for all other personal rights, is not defended with maximum determination" (Christifideles Laici, no. 38). Love Ed 2024 Love Ed is a parent-guided, age-appropriate program which teaches children about human sexuality within the context of God’s plan for love and life. Parents-only seminar: Monday, March 4 from 7-9 pm in the Parish Hall. Father/son and mother/daughter meetings: Sunday, March 10 (grades 5-6) and Sunday, March 17 (grades 7-8).
