Seraphic Sisters of the Eucharist
Sr. Clara Maria Acosta and Sr. Maria de Lourdes Cano currently compose the Seraphic Sisters of the Eucharist. They met each other as fellow Poor Clare sisters in Puerto Rico.
While visiting Omaha, NE, Sr. Clara and Sr. Lourdes were moved by the needs of Hispanic immigrants in the United States. With the permission of the Holy Father and Archbishop Elden Francis Curtiss, they founded the private religious association of the faithful known as the Seraphic Sisters of the Eucharist on October 28, 2005.
Since their inception, the Seraphic Sisters of the Eucharist have made St. Peter Church their home and live in the parish convent.
Helping extensively with the formation of Spanish-speaking peoples and serving as sacristans in St. Peter liturgies, the Seraphic Sisters of the Eucharist bring great Franciscan joy and prayerfulness to St. Peter Church.
The Seraphic Sisters of the Eucharist reside at 705 S. 28th St., Omaha, NE, 68105. Their telephone number is 402-346-6845, email: email@example.com.
