April 9 through May, 2015 - Young Adult Bible Study

The Young Adult Apostolate is planning to offer the Jeff Cavins' Bible Timeline study throughout the time of Easter. This study runs for 8 weeks in St. Peter Church's McMahon Hall on Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. beginning April 9. Final registration day is March 27. If you have an interest in being part of this study that journeys through the story of the entire Bible, or to be a team leader, please contact Brandon Harvey at brandon.harvey@briarcliff.edu. Pastors of St. Peter Catholic Church

Fr. Cook's last day as Pastor of St. Peter Catholic Church was on April 30, 2015. Fr. Rheo Ofalsa will begin serving as Parish Administrator on May 1, 2015, and Fr. Oscar Perez will continue serving as our temporary Parochial Vicar. Fr. John Broheimer will be appointed as the next pastor of St. Peter Church in the near future. Please pray for Fr. Cook, Fr. Broheimer, Fr. Ofalsa and Fr. Perez, during this time of transition.  

October 29 through November 8, 2015 - Pilgrimage to the Holy Land

Fr. Damien Cook, pastor of St. Peter Parish in Omaha, and Fr. Carl Zoucha, pastor of Divine Mercy Parish in Schuyler, will be the spiritual directors for a Pilgrimage to the Holy Land from Omaha leaving on Thursday, October 29, 2015, and returning on Sunday, November 8, 2015. This House We Are Building: An Illustrated Guide to St. Peter Catholic Church

In this new full-color hardcover book, Fr. Damien Cook takes you on a guided tour of St. Peter's - one of the oldest and most beautiful churches in the Archdiocese of Omaha. Fr. Cook focuses in particular on the building's recent renovations - and what they mean within the storied tradition of Catholic art and architecture. 

A limited number of these fully illustrated, 94-page books are currently available in the parish office. June 7, 2015 - Corpus Christi Procession

All are invited to accompany Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament, and our Archbishop George J. Lucas in the 10th Annual Omaha Corpus Christi Procession on Sunday, June 7, from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The event will begin at 2:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church (2110 S. 32nd Ave., Omaha) and will finish at 5:00 p.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church (27th & Leavenworth St., Omaha), a distance of 1.3 miles. An ice cream reception will follow, and buses will shuttle people between Our Lady of Lourdes Church and St. Peter Church 1 hour before and 1 hour after the event. First Communicants are invited to wear their special attire and to bring baskets of flower petals to strew in the streets; Eucharistic and parish banners are welcome. All seminarians are encouraged to come dressed in cassock and surplice. All priests are encouraged to come vested in a white cope and stole and either cassock and surplice or alb and cincture. Todos están invitados a acompañar el Santísimo en la 10a Procesión de Corpus Christi de Omaha anual el domingo, 7 de junio, de las 2:30 p.m. hasta 5:00 p.m. Este evento comenzará a las 2:30 p.m. en la Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de Lourdes (2001 Sur Avenida 32, Omaha) y concluirá a las 5:00 p.m. en la Iglesia de San Pedro (calles 27 y Leavenworth, Omaha), una distancia de 1.3 millas. Habrá una recepción de helados después de la Bendición final, y autobuses transportarán gente entre la Iglesia de Nuestra Sra. de Lourdes y la Iglesia de San Pedro por 1 hora antes de y 1 hora después del evento.
