April 2:  Pro Life Living Rosary

All are invited to the Archdiocesan Pro Life Living Rosary in St. Peter Church on Sunday, April 2 beginning at 2:30 pm. There will be Eucharistic Exposition and Benediction. A reception with cookies and beverages will follow in McMahon Hall. Please plan to attend and pray for respect for life. 

Parish Office Hours

There is a change in Parish Office hours. This is because the bulletin publisher deadline has changed. The parish office will now be closed on Mondays, except for appointments. Also, the office will be closed except for appointments on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. The parish secretary will be attending a class off campus on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons through April 22, 2017.

Monday:  (Office closed except by appointment)  
Tuesday:  9:00 am to 12:00 noon (Closed in the afternoon except by appointment)
Wednesday:  9:00 am to 12:00 noon and 1:00 pm to 5:30 pm 
Thursday:  9:00 am to 12:00 noon (Closed in the afternoon except by appointment)
Friday:  9:00 am to 12:00 noon and 1:00 pm to 5:30 pm

St. Peter Youth Group Schedule

  • St. Peter Youth Group meets on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm in McMahon Hall, followed by social activity in the gym. Pickup is at 9:00 pm in St. Peter School gym. 
  • "Dinner and a Movie" is offered about once per month on Saturdays from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm in McMahon Hall. Cost is $5.00 for pizza and snacks. Please see the Youth Group Schedule for upcoming "Dinner and a Movie" dates.

Domingos:  Venta de Comida Hispana 

Les invitamos a venta de comida después de la Misa de la una los domingos, en el gimnasio de la Escuela San Pedro. Comida Mexicana, Salvadoreña y Guatemalteca: tacos de asada, pupusas y otros antojitos. Hasta Marzo del 2017, todo el dinero que se recaude se usará para ayudar a cubrir el costo de los nuevos techos para la Escuela San Pedro y el Salón McMahon. Por favor, vengan a comer y al mismo tiempo a cooperar. Empezando en Marzo del 2017, la mitad del dinero que se recaude se usará para los nuevos techos, y la mitad para la Escuela de Evangelización por su viaje a Miami este verano. Gracias.

Sundays:  Hispanic Food Sale

On Sundays after the 1:00 pm Mass, and occasionally after the 9:30 am Mass, there will be Hispanic Food Sales in the school gymnasium. Enjoy delicious, authentic Mexican, Salvadoran and Guatemalan food. Dine in or take out. Through February 2017, all proceeds will go towards the cost of the new roofs for St. Peter School and McMahon Hall. Beginning in March 2017, half of the money earned will go towards the new roofs, and half will go to the Escuela de Evangelización for their conference in Miami this summer. Come to enjoy delicious homemade food and help St. Peter Parish at the same time.

October 4:  Holy Hour for Vocations

All are invited to a Holy Hour with Archbishop George Lucas in St. Peter Church on Wednesday, October 4 at 7:00 pm.  There will be Eucharistic Exposition and Benediction, and the recitation of the Holy Rosary.  Prayers will be offered for vocations to the priesthood and consecrated life.  A reception with cookies and beverages will follow in McMahon Hall.  Sponsored by the West Omaha Serra Club. 

Important Opt-out Form for Students in Omaha Public Schools  

If you have a child attending Omaha Public Schools, there is an important form to Opt-out of its new comprehensive sex education classes that will be taught to Omaha Public School students in grades 4-8 and 10 beginning in the Fall of 2016. There is information in the program that is contrary to the Catholic Faith, and may morally harm children. Please contact the parish office for a copy of the form, orclick here

Si tiene un niño que asiste a las Escuelas Públicas de Omaha, hay una hoja importante de optar por quedar fuera de su nuevo programa de educación sexual intregral para estudiantes en los grados 4 a 8 y 10, que empezará este otoño de 2016. Hay información en el programa que es contrario a la Fe Católica, y puede dañar moralmente los niños. Favor contacten la oficina parroquial o haga clíc aquí para una hoja.

This House We Are Building: An Illustrated Guide to St. Peter Catholic Church

In this new full-color hardcover book, Rev. Damien Cook takes you on a guided tour of St. Peter's - one of the oldest and most beautiful churches in the Archdiocese of Omaha. The Roman Catholic Diocese of Phoenix released for the first time ever in its history a documentary-style short film that seeks to create awareness of a crisis in masculinity found in today's society.
