Knights of Columbus Pancake Breakfast: Sunday, October 21

The Knights are having a pancake breakfast in McMahon Hall on Sunday, October 21, after the morning Masses. Food will be served from 9:00 am-11:15 am. All proceeds will go towards the purchase of life-saving AED’s  for our parish. The Knights will be selling Christmas cards during the breakfast as a fundraiser for their many Pro-Life activities.   

January 14-19, 2019:  Saint Peter March for Life Pilgrimage!

Join the St. Peter March for Life Pilgrimage 2018! Departure on Monday evening, January 14, and return home on Saturday afternoon, January 19, 2019. Possible sites in addition to the March for Life are: Life is Very Good Rally, Smithsonian Museums, Fort McHenry, Mother Seton House and the National Shrine of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. There will be one priest (maybe two), for spiritual enrichment and daily Mass. Cost is $400. Registration and $100 is due by December 1, 2018. Final payments are due by January 1, 2019. Seats are limited. Please contact the parish office if you are interested in joining the pilgrimage or for more information. 

Homeschool Sacraments and Catechism Class Late Registration

Registrations for homeschooled children who are preparing to receive a Sacrament in the coming year and for those who will attend our Catechism classes were due by August 31, 2018. Late registrations are offered in the Catechism Office (room #103 in the school) on Saturdays from 10:30 am-12:00 pm, and Wednesdays from 5:30 pm-7:00 pm. For details please contact the Catechism Office at catechism.sp@gmail.com or leave a message at 402-341-4560 ext. 113. Classes began Wednesday, September 5 and Saturday, September 8. A supplemental catechism class for homeschoolers who are preparing to receive the Sacraments of First Penance and First Holy Communion is taught by Sister Clara Acosta on Tuesdays from 3:00 pm to 3:40 pm in O'Brien Hall when the Schola Cantorum is in session. Class for Homeschoolers Sr. Clara offers a supplemental class for homeschool students preparing to receive First Confession and First Communion this year. The class is on Tuesdays from 3:00-3:40 pm in O’Brien Hall. 

Matrícula tardía para Catecismo

Por favor inscriben a sus hijos para clases de catecismo para los Sacramentos de Primera Comunión y Confirmación antes del 31 de agosto, 2018. Oportunidades de inscripción están ofrecidas en la Oficina de Catecismo (cuarto #103 en la escuela) los sábados de las 10:30 de la mañana hasta las 12:00 mediodía, y los miércoles de las 5:30 hasta las 7:00 de la tarde. Saint Peter Youth Group

St. Peter Youth Group meets on Wednesday evenings in McMahon Hall: 6:30 pm Gathering, 7:00 pm Presentation, followed by social activity in the gym. Pickup is at 9:00 pm in St. Peter School gym. 

Dinner and a Movie is offered about once per month on Saturdays from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm in McMahon Hall. Cost is $5.00 for dinner and snacks.

Important Opt-out Form for Students in Omaha Public Schools  

If you have a child attending Omaha Public Schools, there is an important form to Opt-out of its new comprehensive sex education classes that will be taught to Omaha Public School students in grades 4-8 and 10 beginning in the Fall of 2016. There is information in the program that is contrary to the Catholic Faith, and may morally harm children. Please contact the parish office for a copy of the form, orclick here
