June 19 - Altar Boy Summer Appreciation Day

All currently active altar boys are invited to their annual summer appreciation day. This year the boys will go to Fun-Plex in Omaha from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m. Our parish Knights of Columbus are paying the boys' entrance into the game and waterpark. All boys are responsible for the purchasing of their own food throughout the day. In order to attend, parents should complete and return to the parish office the required permission and liability forms found here.

June 30 - Holy Hour for the Defense of Matrimony, the Sanctity of Human Life, and the Protection of Religious Freedoms

During this Fortnight for Freedom we invite all parishioners to a special Eucharistic Holy Hour from 4:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. today that will include Eucharistic Exposition and Benediction, chanted Vespers, Sacred Scripture, and silent prayer.

July 4 - Independence Day

All are invited to a special Mass today at 9 a.m. to commemorate our nation's independence and even more to give gratitude for freedom. The parish office is closed and all other Masses and services this day are canceled because of the holiday.

July 6 - Hour of Power in English & Parish Dessert Potluck

In honor of the Year of Faith and as part of our yearlong parish retreat, all are invited to a special Eucharistic Holy Hour from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. This Hour of Power in English will feature devotional and contemporary music, readings from Sacred Scripture, ample silence, and sections of the pertinent chapter of I Believe in Love, the book upon which our yearlong retreat is based. Afterwards, there will be a Dessert & Appetizer Potluck in our Upper Room Library from 8 p.m. until 9 p.m. All those attending are asked to bring a dessert or appetizer that would feed at least 15 other people.

July 12-19 - Annual Youth Group Mission Trip and Steubenville Conference

Please pray for the youth, chaperones, and Fr. Cook who are attending our annual Ora et Labora mission trip to the Little Portion in Arkansas and Steubenville Conference in Missouri.

July 13 - Hora de Poder en espanol y convivio de postres

July 16 - Investiture with the Scapular

July 16th is the feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel and a fitting day to be formally invested in the scapular. Even if you have worn a scapular for years, a person who has made their First Reconciliation needs to go through the formal investiture ceremony to receive the official graces associated with wearing it. Please bring a scapular to be blessed and used; scapulars will be provided for those who do not bring one. All those who have made their First Reconciliation are invited to receive this investiture:

5:30 p.m. Chanted Vespers in English with the Investiture of the Scapular
6:30 p.m. Mass in Spanish with the Investiture of the Scapular
