August 1 - Day of Prayer for Persecuted, Fellow Christians
We beg all Catholics to join in a special day of Eucharistic Exposition on First Friday, August 1st from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. in St. Peter Church to pray for and in solidarity with fellow Christians who are actively persecuted in Iraq, Syria, and the Middle East and to pray for peace throughout the world, especially in the Holy Land and Ukraine. You have watched and read the news: It is critical that we pray for peace at this time. The day will begin with Mass at 8 a.m. and conclude with Vespers and Benediction at 5:30 p.m. Please contact the parish office to sign up for one hour of prayer with the Blessed Sacrament on this day. The parish office is available at (402) 341-4560 ext. 100.
